Shimano SPD Cleat Set SM-SH51 w/o cleat nut
What Is the Shimano SM-SH51 SPD Cleat Without Cleat Nut?
The Shimano SM-SH51 without cleat nut is the SPD single-release cleat for shoes that already have captive cleat nuts installed in the sole, which is the standard configuration on most quality MTB, gravel, and touring shoes purchased new. Single-release requires a deliberate lateral heel-out twist to exit the pedal, providing a locked-in connection preferred by performance-oriented riders who want to eliminate any chance of accidental release during sprinting, climbing, or technical efforts. Selling without the nut avoids the hassle of handling loose hardware when replacing worn cleats on shoes with existing captive inserts.
Compatible with all Shimano SPD two-bolt cleat pedals. Sold individually as a single cleat without a nut. For shoes with existing captive cleat nut inserts in the sole.
