This is Shimano's standard 1.2mm x 2100mm stainless steel inner shift cable, the correct OEM replacement for Shimano mechanical shifting systems across road, MTB, and flat-bar builds. Stainless construction resists corrosion and maintains consistent pull weight over time. At 2100mm it covers virtually all frame sizes and routing paths without needing to cut before installation in most builds. A reliable, affordable cable for routine drivetrain service or new builds.

Standard stainless cables are a reliable, cost-effective OEM replacement. The Optislick version adds a polymer coating for reduced friction and lighter shift action. Both use the same 1.2mm diameter and 2100mm length.
Is this cable compatible with non-Shimano mechanical shift systems?
Yes. The 1.2mm stainless inner cable is compatible with Shimano and most other mechanical shift systems including SRAM and Campagnolo that use standard 1.2mm inner cables.
Does this include shift housing?
No. This is the inner cable only. Compatible shift housing must be purchased separately.
