The CN-E6070-9 uses a new plate dimension engineered for single-chainring e-bike drivetrains and the sustained torque loads of motor-assisted riding. Standard 9-speed chains are not rated for e-bike use and will wear faster under motor torque.
Is the CN-E6070-9 compatible with Shimano STEPS E6000 series motors?
Yes. The CN-E6070-9 is designed for use with Shimano STEPS city and trekking e-bike systems including the E6000 and E6100 series running a single-chainring 9-speed configuration.
Does this chain come with a connecting pin or quick-link?
No. A Shimano connecting pin or compatible quick-link must be purchased separately.
