Conventional road and MTB 10-speed chains are designed around intermittent human power inputs, not the continuous high-torque load cycles that a motor delivers across an entire ride. The CN-E6090-10 addresses this with increased plate thickness that resists the accelerated link deformation and stretch that shortens chain life dramatically on unrated chains.
