The Shimano Ultegra ST-R8000 | 105 ST-R7000 STI Lever Hoods - Pair is the genuine Shimano replacement hood set for worn, torn, or fading rim brake STI levers. Sold as a left and right pair, these black rubber covers restore the factory grip texture and finish to ST-R8000 Ultegra and ST-R7000 105 mechanical 11-speed shifters. Installing OEM hoods returns the lever to spec for fit, feel, and cosmetics, with no aftermarket guesswork.
Compatible with ST-R8000-L, ST-R8000-R, ST-R7000-L, and ST-R7000-R rim brake mechanical levers. Not for hydraulic disc brake STI bodies. A small amount of rubbing alcohol on the inside of the cover during install helps the rubber slide cleanly over the bracket; once seated and dried, the fit is snug and stays put. This is the right call for riders refreshing a high-mileage Ultegra or 105 cockpit before a new season.

No. These hoods fit only mechanical rim brake STI levers in the ST-R8000 (Ultegra) and ST-R7000 (105) families. Hydraulic disc brake levers use a different bracket shape with different hood geometry.
Are these sold individually or as a pair?
As a pair. The set includes one left and one right hood. Note the L and R label on each cover during install so the correct one goes on each lever.
Are these the same genuine Shimano rubber used on new levers?
Yes. This is the OEM Shimano part (Y0DK98010). The texture, fit, and finish match the hood that originally shipped on your levers.
Any tips for getting them on cleanly?
Remove the lever from the bar first, then put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the inside of the cover to help the rubber slide over the bracket. Align the protrusions on the hood with the hollows on the bracket body. Once the alcohol dries the fit locks in tight.
