What makes the SILCA Royal Purple titanium cage hold its color?
The SILCA Anodized Titanium Bottle Cage in Royal Purple is built from seamless 3-2.5 titanium tubing, hand bent in Indianapolis and laser welded to a titanium base plate, then finished with a Royal Purple anodized treatment. Anodized color on titanium comes from the oxide layer of the metal itself, not from paint or dye, so it does not peel, fade with UV, or wear off the way a coating does. Underneath the color is the same cage that holds a bottle securely on gravel and rough roads while still going in and out easily.
At about 30 grams it stays light for a metal cage, and the 21mm fore/aft adjustment from the slotted mounting eyelets lets you position it to clear a frame bag or fit a smaller frame.
