Why Does SILCA Make Anti-Seize for Cyclists?

SILCA Anti-Seize is a copper-based paste compound formulated specifically for bicycle threaded interfaces that are prone to galling, corrosion, or seizing over time. Carbon frames with aluminum seat posts, titanium bolts into carbon or alloy, bottom bracket threads, and any dissimilar metal contact point all benefit from anti-seize applied at assembly. Without it, corrosion and galvanic activity between dissimilar metals can make removal of components extremely difficult after extended use, and in carbon frame applications, stuck seat posts often result in frame damage.

A small amount goes a long way. Apply a thin layer to threads or contact surfaces at installation, torque to spec, and the interface stays removable for the life of the component.
