What is the SILCA Mattone Seat Pack built for?
The SILCA Mattone Seat Pack is the original Mattone, SILCA's award-winning seat bag (mattone means brick in Italian), built around the BOA Fit System. Paired with a high-friction Hypalon strap, the BOA ratcheting mechanism makes more than 15 times the power of Velcro and will not creep or loosen even under extreme vibration and impact, so the bag stays high and tight under your saddle with no swinging, swaying, or rattling.
Compact at 0.5L, it holds everything for a roadside flat fix: a tube, two CO2 cartridges, a regulator, tire levers, and a multitool. An off-center YKK waterproof zipper lets the case open completely and lay flat off the bike, while still giving easy access to the multitool and money/card slots on the bike. For longer rides where two or three tubes makes more sense, step up to the Mattone Grande. For everyday training, club rides, and races where you need the basics and nothing more, the Standard is the clean, right-sized choice.
