It comes out cleaned and waxed at the same time, with no drop in performance versus traditional degreasing prep.

StripChip is built specifically for new chains carrying factory grease, not for chains that have already run oil-based lube. For those, use SILCA Ultimate Chain Stripper first. It comes in a candy-bar form of six 12g chips, one chip per new chain, and the same pot of wax can be reused for future sessions. It works best paired with SILCA Secret Chain Blend hot melt wax for the fastest, longest-wearing waxed drivetrain.
