How do I apply it?

Start with a completely clean chain, and strip a new factory chain before the first application, because wax will not bond through factory grease. Shake the bottle well, since the tungsten particles settle over time. Apply one drop to each roller while slowly backpedaling, then backpedal several more revolutions to spread it evenly. Let the chain cure fully before riding, and give it a short ride to break in the wax film.

Why does a wax lube keep the drivetrain cleaner than oil?

Oil stays wet on the chain, so road grit sticks to it and grinds into the rollers as you ride. A cured wax film is dry to the touch, so there is nothing tacky for dust and grit to hold onto.
