FAQ

When should I rebuild lever internals instead of just bleeding the brakes?

If a bleed does not fully restore lever feel or the lever pull is inconsistent between bleeds, internal seal wear is likely the cause. Symptoms include a spongy lever that firms up temporarily after a bleed but degrades quickly, or inconsistent reach that cannot be corrected by adjustment. Lever internals wear is a normal service interval item on high-use brake systems.

Does this kit work for all Level brake variants?

No. This Version 2 kit is specific to Level Ultimate, Level TLM, and Level TL. Other Level variants (Level T, older Level models) and all Guide and Code levers use different internal kits. Check your lever model before ordering to ensure you select the correct kit for your specific brake.

Do I need additional tools or supplies to install lever internals?

Yes. Installing lever internals requires a full bleed afterwards to restore proper hydraulic function. You will need SRAM DOT brake fluid, a Pro DOT bleed kit, bleed syringes, and appropriate torque tools. The internals kit contains only the internal components; all service consumables and tools must be sourced separately.

Best For

Mechanics and riders servicing Level Ultimate, Level TLM, or Level TL brakes where lever feel has degraded and bleeding alone is not resolving the issue.
