How do SRAM eTap AXS Wireless Blips work without wires or a BlipBox?
The SRAM eTap AXS Wireless Blips take the satellite shifting concept fully cable-free — no wires to route, no BlipBox required, no wire length to manage when deciding where to mount. Each Wireless Blip contains its own built-in AXS wireless transmitter and pairs directly with your eTap AXS drivetrain, which means you can place them anywhere on the handlebar, aero extensions, or TT cockpit without routing constraints of any kind. The button feel is intentionally tactile and switch-like, giving clear mechanical feedback so you know the shift registered without looking down — critical in a time trial or triathlon where road awareness and aero position matter more than glancing at your cockpit. For triathletes and time trialists running aero bars, Wireless Blips solve the biggest annoyance of wired satellite shifting on complex cockpits: there are simply no wires to manage.
They are equally practical for drop-bar road riders who want additional shift positions in spots where running a Blip wire would be awkward, and they work as an adaptive solution for riders who need shift access in non-standard hand positions. Battery life is strong and they charge via the same AXS charging port system as the rest of the ecosystem — no separate charger, no new cables. Pair them once through the AXS app, mount them wherever makes sense for your riding position, and they just work. If you want satellite shifting without any wiring complexity, Wireless Blips are the cleaner answer.
