SRAM Force XPLR AXS E1 Rear Derailleur - 13 Speed | 46t Max
Full Mount impact resistance in the SRAM Force XPLR AXS Derailleur
The SRAM Force XPLR AXS rear derailleur attaches to a frame's UDH interface and centers on the rear axle, so there is no derailleur hanger in the system to bend after an impact or a flight. That Full Mount connection sets alignment from the frame itself, which is why setup involves no adjustment screws at all. The Hangerless Interface pairs with a straight parallelogram design that keeps movement on the horizontal axis, so the cage does not travel inward toward the spokes. On gravel, where the derailleur sits low and takes hits from rocks and from travel, that is the difference between a bent hanger and a ride that keeps going.
It is 1x specific and built around SRAM's XPLR 10-46T 13-speed cassette and Flattop chains, so it will not run a 2x setup or a standard road cassette. SRAM's crank guidance is worth following here: run XPLR cranks on frames with chainstays 415 mm and longer, and road cranks at 414 mm and below. The parts on it are replaceable and rebuildable rather than throwaway, which is the same repair-first thinking behind the rest of the Full Mount line. The AXS battery is sold separately.
