The SRAM GX Eagle chain is built for SRAM's 12-speed Eagle drivetrain ecosystem, featuring PowerChain II geometry optimized for the wide-range 10-52t cassettes that Eagle is built around. Hardened inner plates improve wear resistance under trail conditions, and the chain ships with an Eagle PowerLock connecting link. Compatible with all SRAM Eagle 12-speed drivetrains from NX to XX1.

GX Eagle sits in the middle of the Eagle chain lineup, above NX and below X01. It uses the same 12-speed Eagle interface as the rest of the range, so it drops into an NX build or an XX1 build without a compatibility question. No. Standard Eagle chains are not compatible with Eagle Transmission (T-Type) drivetrains. T-Type requires the Flattop variant of the Eagle chain with a specific flat outer plate profile.

Which PowerLock does this chain use?

The GX Eagle chain ships with the standard Eagle PowerLock connector link. Do not substitute the T-Type Flattop PowerLock, which is designed for a different chain profile.

Is this chain cross-compatible with other Eagle tiers?
