Is this sold as a set with the right lever?

No. This is the left/front lever only. The right/rear HRD lever is sold separately. Both are required for a complete shift and brake setup.

What brake fluid does this lever use?

SRAM RED AXS E1 HRD levers use DOT hydraulic brake fluid. Do not use mineral oil, as it is chemically incompatible with DOT brake system seals.

Does the left lever control the front or rear brake?

By default the left lever controls the front brake, which is the standard road configuration. Lever function can be reassigned via the SRAM AXS app if needed.
