The SRAM Rival 22 Road Hydraulic Disc Brake Left/Front is a complete hydraulic disc brake caliper for the front wheel, pre-bled and ready for installation on road bikes using SRAM's Rival 22 DoubleTap groupset. It uses DOT hydraulic fluid and is compatible with SRAM's flat mount road brake standards. The caliper pairs with SRAM CenterLine, CenterLine X, or Paceline rotors in 140mm or 160mm sizes.

Rival 22 brought hydraulic disc braking to the mid-tier of SRAM's road lineup, and this front caliper is the correct replacement or upgrade part for existing Rival 22 builds. Confirm front/rear caliper placement before ordering. The left/front unit is for the front wheel only.

What is Rival 22 and is it wireless?: Rival 22 is the previous-generation mechanical SRAM road group using DoubleTap shifting with a single lever for both up and down shifts. It is not wireless. For wireless AXS shifting, see the Rival eTap AXS or Rival AXS E1 platforms.

Does this include both the lever and the caliper?: This is the complete left-side unit: the DoubleTap shift/brake lever and the front hydraulic caliper. Both are pre-bled and ready for hose installation to complete the brake system.

What hydraulic fluid does Rival 22 use?: DOT hydraulic fluid is required. Never use mineral oil in a SRAM DOT hydraulic system.
