FAQ

Do I need an XD driver body to run this cassette?

Yes. The XG-1275 requires an XD driver body to mount. Most modern Eagle-compatible wheels come with an XD driver, but if you are upgrading from an older HG freehub, you will need to swap your driver body before installation.

How does the XG-1275 compare to the XG-1295 or XG-1299?

All three are X-DOME-style Eagle cassettes with the same gear range, but they differ in construction and weight. The XG-1275 uses FULL PIN technology for excellent durability at a more accessible price point. The XG-1295 and XG-1299 step up to lighter machined and pinned construction with premium finishes for riders chasing every gram.

Will this work with my current Eagle drivetrain?

Yes. The XG-1275 is compatible with all SRAM Eagle 12-speed drivetrains, including the new S-Series (S100, S200, S500) and the previous-generation GX, X01, and XX1 groups. It is not compatible with Eagle Transmission (T-Type), which uses a different cassette mounting system.

Best For

Best for trail, enduro, and all-mountain riders who want a durable, wide-range Eagle cassette without paying flagship pricing. Ideal for replacing a worn cassette on an existing Eagle drivetrain, building up a new bike with the S-Series Eagle AXS, or upgrading from a narrower-range cassette to get the full 520-percent climbing range. Holds up to high-mileage abuse better than lighter X-DOME cassettes, making it a solid choice for big seasons and rough conditions.
