What width rim tape do I need?

Match the tape width to your rim's internal channel width. As a general rule, Stan's recommends a tape 1 to 2mm wider than the internal bed. A good fit prevents the tape from folding or gapping at the spoke holes, which can cause air leaks.

How many rims will one roll of Stan's Rim Tape cover?

A 10-meter roll tapes about four 29 inch wheels or five 27.5 inch wheels, depending on rim size and how many layers you use. For pressures of 50 psi and above, Stan's recommends two layers of the appropriate width for a reliable seal.

Can Stan's Rim Tape be used with inner tubes?

Yes. While it's designed for tubeless setups, Stan's Rim Tape works perfectly well as standard rim tape for tubed applications too. It holds up well against tube chafing and provides a secure, airtight base.
