Overview
Built-in motion and quiet power in the Tacx NEO 3M
The Tacx NEO 3M Smart Trainer is a direct-drive trainer with built-in motion plates that add multidirectional movement, and you can toggle them on or off. Power, speed and cadence are measured within 1% with no calibration, and 32 neodymium magnets handle sprints up to 2,200 watts. Climbs are simulated up to a 25% gradient with descent simulation, and the NEO magnet motor keeps vibration low so the trainer runs very quietly. A Shimano/SRAM 11-speed cassette comes preinstalled, so it is ready to go out of the box.
The virtual flywheel can make the ride feel like gravel or cobblestones in the Tacx Training app and other popular training apps, and dynamic inertia compensates for your weight, speed and incline. It connects over Bluetooth and ANT+ FE-C to Zwift, TrainerRoad and Garmin devices, it is Zwift Cog and Click compatible, and race mode gives a fast response in virtual races. When it is not connected to a training platform, it simulates a flat road and can be ridden cord-free, and it folds to 695 x 355 mm. Campagnolo and SRAM 12-speed/XDR need a special cassette body, and the optional Tacx Smart network adapter adds a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. It fits riders who want accurate power and a more natural riding position indoors.
