Overview
Built-in motion and Wi-Fi in the Tacx Nēra smart trainer
The Tacx Nēra Smart Trainer with 11-Speed Cassette is a smart trainer with built-in forward, backward and side-to-side motion for a more realistic, comfortable ride indoors. Power and cadence are measured within 1% with no calibration, sprints top out at 2,200 watts and climbs are simulated up to 20%. Built-in Wi-Fi keeps the connection to your training app stable, and race mode keeps response fast in virtual races in select training apps.
A Shimano/SRAM 11-speed cassette comes installed, and adapters for quick-release and thru-axle frames are in the box. Campagnolo and SRAM 12-speed/XDR work with a special cassette body. The legs fold and a built-in handle makes it easy to move and store. Register it in the Tacx Training app for a 45-day premium trial, and set up a free Garmin Coach training plan in Garmin Connect, then view and complete the workouts in the Tacx Training app. Pair it with the Tacx Alpine gradient simulator for simulated ascents up to 25% and descents down to -10%, and it suits riders who want a moving ride feel from a trainer that folds away for storage.
