Overview
Built-in motion and Zwift shifting in the Tacx Nēra
The Tacx Nēra Smart Trainer with Zwift Cog and Click comes with a Zwift Cog preinstalled and a Zwift Click controller, so it is ready to ride in Zwift once it is set up in the Tacx Training app. The cog replaces your cassette and works with almost any 8 to 13-speed bike in Zwift and ROUVY, while Click unlocks 24 silent virtual gears and lets you steer, navigate menus and give ride-ons from the handlebars. Some features require an active Zwift membership, and new Zwift subscribers get a membership offer with the trainer. Zwift Cog still supports ERG mode workouts through compatible devices, including a Garmin Edge.
Underneath is the Nēra trainer, with built-in motion forward, backward and side to side, power and cadence within 1% and no calibration. It simulates grades up to 20% and supports sprints up to 2,200 watts, and built-in Wi-Fi plus race mode keep the connection fast during virtual races in Zwift. Paired with the Tacx Alpine gradient simulator, it reaches simulated ascents up to 25% and descents down to -10%, with real-time steering in Zwift. A built-in handle and compact, foldable legs make it easy to move and store. It suits Zwift riders who want virtual shifting and a more realistic ride feel indoors.
