The wedge gives a secure fit in mountain and road handlebars with an inner diameter from 18mm to 21.5mm. You tighten each plug with a 3mm hex key until it is snug, and Wolf Tooth warns not to overtighten it.

The anodized colors match Wolf Tooth headsets, stem caps, seatpost clamps, and bolts, so the plugs help tie a color-matched build together. A set of two weighs 17g, and Wolf Tooth makes them in the USA. Wolf Tooth Echo Lock-On grips come with plastic plugs, and Wolf Tooth suggests these alloy plugs as the matching upgrade.
