Is the Wolf Tooth Post to Flat Mount Adapter the Right Conversion?

The Wolf Tooth Post to Flat Mount Brake Adapter +20mm lets you run flat mount brakes on a frame or fork that was designed for post mount brakes. Wolf Tooth built it for riders who want to run a road groupset on a mountain bike frame. The adapter is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, weighs 17g, and is sold individually.

Because this is a +20mm adapter, your rotor has to be 20mm larger than the native post mount size of your frame or fork. A 140mm native mount works only with a 160mm rotor, a 160mm native mount works only with a 180mm rotor, and a 180mm native mount works only with a 200mm rotor. Wolf Tooth tested the adapter with SRAM and Shimano brakes.

Check your bike before you order. Wolf Tooth says you need at least 13mm between the top of the brake boss and the frame or fork, and the adapter does not fit Fox Step Cast forks. It comes with two M5x13mm flat head bolts for the flat mount caliper and two M6x15mm socket head bolts for the post mount.
