Can I use a dropper post on a gravel or road bike with this lever?

Yes. Wolf Tooth designed the ReMote Drop Bar for gravel, road, and drop bar mountain bikes. You can reach the lever from the hoods or the drops.

Why does the outboard clamp matter?

Putting the clamp on the outside of the bar moves the lever base closer to the bar. Wolf Tooth says this gives a lower profile than competing levers, and the clamp does not get in the way of your hand placement.

Does it work with electronic shifting or a 2x drivetrain?

Yes. Wolf Tooth lists it as compatible with drop bar bikes running 1x or 2x, in mechanical or electronic shifting.

What else do I need to install it?

Cable and housing are not included. Wolf Tooth says you also need an inline barrel adjuster to set the cable tension.
