The Zipp CeramicSpeed Freehub Body and Bearing Kit for the Zipp 177 XDR Driver Body replaces a stock 177 hub freehub with a CeramicSpeed-bearing-equipped XDR driver to save measurable watts on every ride. Engineered specifically for Zipp 177 rear hubs, the kit drops in with the bearings preinstalled, so installation is straight onto the wheel with no press-fit work and no separate bearing sourcing. The result is reduced drag at the drivetrain interface and the same 12-speed SRAM XDR compatibility you expect from a modern road or gravel drivetrain.

According to Zipp, the CeramicSpeed bearing upgrade delivers between 1.5 and 9 watts of savings per bearing set, depending on the condition of the bearings being replaced. The kit fits Zipp 177 hubs found on 30 Course, 202, 303, 404, and 808 Firecrest wheels, and it includes the freehub body with CeramicSpeed bearings already installed. Per Zipp, the 177 hub is used on 30 Course, 202 Firecrest, 303 Firecrest, 404 Firecrest, and 808 Firecrest wheels. If you have a 176 hub (302 or 303 S), this kit does not fit.

How much wattage does the CeramicSpeed upgrade actually save?

Zipp publishes savings of 1.5 to 9 watts per bearing set, depending on how worn or contaminated your current bearings are. The bigger the gain, the more abused the bearings being replaced.

Are end caps included?

No. The kit includes the freehub body with CeramicSpeed bearings preinstalled, but end caps are sold separately if you need them.
