The Lake CX239 Wide delivers every refinement of the latest CX239 on a wider last, the right call for riders with a broader forefoot, bunions, or foot volume that standard road lasts can't accommodate. An integrated tongue bonded to the medial upper panel creates a firmer foot hold that drives power into forward momentum, while a fiberglass-reinforced internal heel counter keeps the heel locked. Wider spacing between the two BOA Li2 dials gives cleaner independent adjustment across the forefoot. This all-white colorway uses a breathable Clarino Microfiber and mesh upper with a protective heel panel, rubber toe bumper, and Outlast heel lining. This pair is EU size 45.
Underneath sits a Lake Competition 100% carbon fiber sole, stiff, light, and built for serious power transfer, on a 3-bolt pattern for Shimano SPD-SL, Look, and compatible pedals. The CX/TX Competition last carries a curved profile with a larger toe box, tighter heel, and slightly wider ball girth so the foot can expand under high-cadence pressure, and this Wide build adds genuine forefoot room on top of that. If a regular road shoe pinches across the ball of your foot, this is the CX239 to try.
