The durable steel barrel, 3mm-thick 731 Italian leather piston gasket, and proprietary brass air bridge and check-valve assembly give it a pumping efficiency and longevity that synthetic alternatives cannot match. The standard Schradero chuck handles Presta and Schrader without an adapter, and the chuck dock lets you swap in the SILCA HIRO locking-lever chuck or a disc wheel adapter, sold separately, while still securing the hose to the pump. Construction is all metal and wood throughout, and every component is replaceable and available individually.
