The Vittoria Air Liner Light XC is engineered as the lightest XC tubeless tire insert in the Vittoria lineup, developed with World Cup XC teams who needed pinch flat protection without rotational weight penalty. At just 55 grams per insert, it weighs less than the sealant required to mount the tire, so it disappears under race pace until the moment a square edge or rough rock garden tries to take your rim. The proprietary open cell foam reinforces the sidewall against lateral loads while letting the tread ride on air for a fluid contact patch and snappy acceleration.
Engineered for tubeless tires only with multiway tubeless valves and ammonia free sealant, the Air Liner Light XC progressively compresses under impact to eliminate rim strikes and snake bites, then expands in the event of a flat for up to 25 km of run flat capability. The right pick for XC racers, marathon riders, down country builds, and Pacific Northwest trail riders who run lower pressures for grip on roots and rocks and need rim protection insurance.

The Air Liner Light XC sits inside your tubeless tire and protects the rim from pinch flats, snake bites, and impact damage. It lets you run lower pressures for better grip and compliance, reinforces the sidewall against lateral loads while cornering, and if you flat, the foam keeps the tire on the rim so you can ride out for up to 25 km under control instead of stopping mid course.
Is the Air Liner Light XC tubeless only?
Yes. The Air Liner Light XC must be used with tubeless ready tires, multiway tubeless valves, and ammonia free sealant only. It is not compatible with inner tubes.
How does this compare to CushCore XC?
At 55 grams, the Air Liner Light XC is significantly lighter than CushCore XC, which is its main appeal for XC racers and marathon riders chasing rotational weight savings. The lighter weight makes it easier to install and unnoticeable while pedaling. CushCore offers more aggressive sidewall support and is better suited to harder trail and enduro riding where rim strikes are more frequent and severe.
