FAQ

How does the Barzo compare to the Peyote and Mezcal?: The Peyote is the fastest rolling XC tire for hardpack and fine loose. The Mezcal is the versatile all rounder for mixed conditions. The Barzo is the most aggressive for coarse loose terrain and technical XC courses. Choose Barzo if your trails are predominantly rough, loose, or technical.

Is the Barzo XC Race tubeless and hookless compatible?: Yes. The Barzo XC Race has a tubeless ready folding bead, hookless rim compatibility, and uses the XC Race TLR casing with reinforced Bead Shield. Pair with quality tubeless sealant.

Is there an XC Trail version of the Barzo?: The XC Race version uses the 60 TPI race casing with Race Formulation compound for race day. There is no XC Trail version of the Barzo in the current Vittoria lineup. If you want a more durable everyday version of an aggressive XC tread, the Mezcal XC Race or a non Vittoria option may be better matched.

Best For

Built for XC racers on technical World Cup style courses, marathon riders dealing with mixed-and-rough conditions, and Pacific Northwest XC where loamy and loose trails are the daily reality. The right choice for the rough end of the XC spectrum where the Peyote or Mezcal would slip the rear wheel.
