The standard Corsa Pro is the pure race day tire with the 320 TPI Corespun K casing and minimal puncture protection. The Pro Control steps down to 260 TPI for added durability but adds bead to bead anti puncture belt and reinforced sidewall layers. Pro Control trades a small amount of suppleness for serious puncture resistance.
Is the Pro Control tubeless and hookless compatible?
Yes. The Pro Control has a tubeless ready folding bead and hookless rim compatibility. Pair with quality tubeless sealant. The added puncture protection layers make it particularly well suited for tubeless setup at lower pressures on rough pavement.
Can the Pro Control be used as a race day tire?
Yes, but with the caveat that the sidewall reinforcement and added compound layers make the Pro Control noticeably heavier than the standard Corsa Pro. Choose Pro Control for race day on harsh courses, choose Corsa Pro for fast smooth race courses where weight matters more than puncture risk.
