How does the Wahoo KICKR BIKE PRO compare to a smart trainer?
The Wahoo KICKR BIKE PRO is a purpose-built smart bike, so it stays set up and ready to ride with no bike to mount and no wheel to swap. It physically tilts to match climbs up to 20% and descents down to -15%, while an electromagnetic and enhanced motor delivers up to 2,500 watts of resistance at +/- 1% accuracy. Downhill simulation lets you hold speed on virtual descents. KICKR Race Mode streams power data up to 10x faster for sprints, surges, and breakaways.
Programmable virtual shifting lets the redesigned shifter controls mimic SRAM, Shimano, or Campagnolo, and you set the number of speeds and the cassette tooth counts to match your outdoor bike. Fit adjusts at five points (stack, reach, setback, saddle height, and frame height) through the Wahoo app, with crank lengths from 165 to 175mm, riders from 5 ft 0 in to 6 ft 4 in, and a 250 lb maximum rider weight. The touchpoints are a Fizik Aliante R5 saddle, Fizik Solocush bar tape, and a new flared ergonomic handlebar, and the hoods carry integrated controls for Zwift. Integrated KICKR BRIDGE relays your heart rate monitor and other compatible sensors onto your home network through the bike. Pedals are not included, so bring your own or pick up a set of the Wahoo Speedplay pedals we carry at the Lab.

Can I use aero bars on the Wahoo KICKR BIKE PRO?
Yes, the stock Wahoo KICKR BIKE PRO handlebar works with most aftermarket clip-on aerobars, with a 31.8mm clamping surface that is 100mm wide overall. Wahoo lists a 40mm wide stem clamp and an available clamping area from 20 to 50mm out from the bar's center on each side.
Does the Wahoo KICKR BIKE PRO work with Zwift?
Yes, the Wahoo KICKR BIKE PRO works with Zwift, and its shifter controls include integrated Zwift commands so your hands stay on the bars. Wahoo also lists ROUVY, TrainingPeaks, MyWhoosh, and KinoMap as compatible apps.
