What comes in the Wolf Tooth Anodized Headset Spacer Kit?
Wolf Tooth calls this the Anodized Color Kit. It includes 3mm, 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm headset spacers, an ultralight stem cap with an integrated 5mm spacer, four matching aluminum water bottle cage bolts, and a black aluminum stem cap bolt. Every piece is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized in the color you choose. Wolf Tooth makes the kit in the USA.
The spacers give you 3, 5, 10, and 15mm of stack to set your bar height. Wolf Tooth points out that many carbon steerers need the steerer to extend above the stem, and the stem cap's built-in 5mm spacer covers that without adding a separate spacer on top. The kit fits 1-1/8 inch top steerer tubes, either straight 1-1/8 inch or 1-1/2 inch to 1-1/8 inch tapered. The colored bolts are for water bottle cages only, and Wolf Tooth says never to use them in a structural spot.

Will this fit a tapered fork?
Yes, as long as the top of the steerer is 1-1/8 inch. Wolf Tooth lists it for straight 1-1/8 inch steerers and 1-1/2 inch to 1-1/8 inch tapered steerers only.
Why does the stem cap have a 5mm spacer built in?
Wolf Tooth says many carbon steerers need the steerer tube to extend above the stem. The built-in 5mm spacer lets you leave that extra steerer length without stacking another spacer on top.
Can I use the aluminum bolts anywhere on my bike?
No. The colored aluminum bolts are for water bottle cages only. Wolf Tooth says never to use them in a structural application. Use the longer black aluminum stem cap bolt to install the stem cap.
