We find the kids
We work with the Vancouver Police Department through the Police Activities League of Southwest Washington (PAL), and with Vancouver Public Schools, to find kids who need a bike. We have partnered with the Salvation Army, too.

Bikes for Kids is the Dialed Cycling Team's charity program. We buy new bikes for kids in our community who need them, and every dollar given to Bikes for Kids goes to bikes, helmets and locks.
Some kids need a bike to get to school. Some just need the freedom every kid deserves. Bikes for Kids gets a new bike to both, and the team runs it from start to finish.

The team raises money all year, and the Ugly Christmas Sweater Ride kicks off our big push every holiday season. Yes, people really ride in the sweaters.
Teammates assemble every bike and hand it over with a new helmet and a lock. Before the kids ride away, we run a bike safety workshop so they know how to ride smart.
In May 2019 the team held a charity ride and a bike build party. Teammates spent the day turning boxes into bikes, and more than 20 Cannondale bikes went home with kids who needed them.
That is still the shape of it today. The team raises the money, builds the bikes and shows up in person to hand them over.
Any amount helps. Gifts add up to bikes, and bikes go straight to kids in our community.

What happens next
Bikes for Kids serves kids in the Vancouver, Washington area (Clark County). We only ask for the kid's first name, and we never share a nomination publicly.
Bikes for Kids is one of the things the Dialed Cycling Team does when it is not racing. See the rest of what the team supports, or come meet the riders.
