What is the Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM 3 built for?
The Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM 3 is the navigation-first computer in Wahoo's lineup, built around a 2.8 in color touchscreen you can tap, pinch, zoom and swipe with gloves on. Turn-by-turn directions come with audible prompts from a built-in speaker, plus detailed map layers and rerouting if you stray off course. Back on Track, Route to Start and Retrace Route get you where you want to go from wherever you are, and you can share a location from Google Maps or Apple Maps to build a route on the spot. With Komoot Live Sync, a route you change mid-ride updates on the computer without reconnecting.
Battery life is rated up to 25 hours, and Wahoo notes that backlight brightness, settings and the number of connected sensors all affect that figure. Dual-band GPS covers GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, SBAS and NavIC, and the computer pairs over Bluetooth and ANT+ with heart rate monitors, pedal or crank based power meters, speed and cadence sensors, and radar tail lights like the TRACKR RADAR. Setup, sensor pairing and route loading happen in the Wahoo app, where you can also connect Strava, RideWithGPS, TrainingPeaks and Trailforks to sync routes and workouts. It carries 64GB of storage and charges over USB-C.
