The Lake MX242 is the MTB counterpart to the flagship CX242, bringing the same heat-moldable custom fit technology to off-road riding. The HeatFit moldable upper features Helcor abrasion-resistant leather, Ecco full-grain leather, and NuFoam lining with Carbitex carbon fiber support panels. It heat-activates to reshape around your exact foot anatomy, accommodating bunions, high insteps, wide forefronts, or any fit challenge that standard MTB shoes can't solve. A moldable heel counter doubles heel hold for a locked, secure fit. The Lake Competition 100% Carbon Fiber Sole with Mountain Competition real rubber outsole provides elite stiffness and power transfer alongside extended protection and ground stability for technical terrain. Two BOA Li2 Dual Dial Closures let you independently manage forefoot and instep tension. MX Competition last gives you a larger toe box, tighter heel, and extra ball girth volume for riding and hike-a-bike sections. Compatible with Shimano SPD two-bolt cleats.
