The Regular width is built on Lake's CX/TX Competition last, a balanced medium-volume platform with slightly more forefoot room than the Race last and a tight heel for high-cadence efforts. Can I use the TX224 for regular road riding?

Yes. It uses a 3-bolt road cleat pattern compatible with Look, Shimano SPD-SL, and similar systems, and the full carbon sole delivers excellent power transfer for any road riding. The sockless-tuned liner and ventilated upper are built for triathlon, but the shoe works well for general road use too. It is not compatible with 2-bolt SPD or gravel cleats.
