The Lake MX177 is the mountain bike shoe that continues to raise the bar for aggressive trail riding, offering incredible performance, stability, and all-day comfort in an extremely durable design. A form-fitting Clarino microfiber and mesh upper with Carbitex carbon fiber tongue panels provides excellent durability, breathability, and smooth BOA closure adjustment. A single BOA L6 Dial Closure provides precise micro-adjustable fit. The Sport last features a larger, roomier toe box than the Comfort last while providing strong foot control through the heel and arch. It's designed for aggressive riding while remaining comfortable for extended wear and hike-a-bike sections. The Supergrip Enduro Sole with Ice Lock anti-slip lug inserts and Lake's fiberglass-reinforced nylon construction delivers uncompromising comfort, stability, and performance on any terrain. Accepts toe spikes (note: sizes 36-38 do not accept spikes). Compatible with Shimano SPD two-bolt cleats. Available in Regular and Wide fits.

What is the MX Sport last?: The MX177 uses a Sport last, which is wider and roomier than the Competition last used on the MX242/MX239. The Sport last is designed for all-day comfort and walkability, not pure pedaling efficiency.

How is the Supergrip Enduro sole different from a carbon sole?: The Supergrip Enduro outsole is fiberglass-reinforced nylon with Ice Lock anti-slip lug inserts. It offers genuine grip for hike-a-bike, dismounts, and walking, with flex that makes it more comfortable than a full-carbon MTB sole for all-day wear.

Does the MX177 accept toe spikes?: Yes, the MX177 accepts replaceable toe spikes (sold separately) with the exception of sizes 36-38 where the spike insert is omitted.
